My friend and I share a mutual love of cheese fondue so we were super excited to find out that there was a place in Kingston to have fondue! The restaurant is inside of the Best Western hotel, across from another restaurant which is a more fine-dining establishment. Walking in, you'll see that the restaurant is like one big cozy living room! There aren't any traditional chairs to sit on, but rather comfy sofas, and even a fireplace at the back!

Great service and meals!

Stayed here December 2018 with my family while on our way to Quebec. It was comfy, homey, really nice place. The food was Good. The people was friendly and very helpful. Would stay there again.

We had dinner at Toms Place first our waitress was sooo helpful (Dianne) she took extra time to help us even though she was busy. I asked if it was possible to watch the Monday NFL game and she made it happen. Ok back to the food and drinks. I can not find a thing I would change it was a great evening. I would recommend this restaurant

This is a gem. On my trip from Toronto to Montreal, we decided to have a dinner stop at Kingston. This place deserves the high rating. It's a chalet style bar, very comfy and unique ambience. I was there with my wife and 2 kids. At first, I was worried that it wouldn't be kids friendly. Then the kids menu appears :) my older son, 8 year old keeps telling me to go back. The good was great, the portion was too big, but I can't lower the stars for that. The stop is also very close to highway, making it a perfect stop on our long trip.

Pricey. Not my favorite menu. Quesadilla was good.

Everything I've had there in in the past week has been great. I had dessert as well this evening and that was a delight. Pleasent service. Crayons and coloring/activity paper for kids as well.

Great spot for a unique cozy atmosphere. Many different styles of seating. Great menu, love the fries. Staff is exceptional at their job, and remember people by name. I highly recommend dinner here.

Great customer service. Clean, comfortable, relaxing place. Whether you want a meal or just to relax and have a drink or two. Not too noisy so you dont have to yell to hear each other either.

Great service, some of the friendliest staff around town! Food this trip was ok. Fries are addictive but my main course (rib eye sandwich with au jus) was just ok. I will definitely be going back

Visited this restaurant twice. It has a very homey atmosphere with antiques, stuffed birds and animals on the log-walls. It has plenty of parking either on site or at a nearby shopping area. The washrooms are clean. Service was great and attentive. We had several dishes, fish and chips, half dip, chicken vegetable wrap, smoked meat. In all cases the food suffered from lack of heat. The meals come from somewhere unseen and it might be too far to assure it's hot. The food is reasonably priced, but I found the coleslaw seemed "'off" and their fish sauce lacked zip. The cheese cake was small for the price. In all, a great place to go for a meal, especially for the atmosphere which includes real fireplaces.

Nice place, very cozy. Food was good but the service was very slow. I'm not sure if it was an under staff issue or if we got forgotten. We left after one drink.

Love this place. Food was good. My wife and I had a great meal. The room was a bit hot for me cause of the fireplace but she found it very cozy. Love the seats. Really nice place to eat. Really great decor very very rustic. More urbanized types may not like the stuffed heads but I think this type of atmosphere still appeals.

Went to this eatery because I read other reviews. I was not disappointed with the ambience. Cozy but still bit cold inside despite the 🔥 place being on. The waitress was friendly enough but some where between the ordering and the kitchen there was much confusion. The appetizer was completely forgotten, the spicy mayo that was requested to be in the side, came on the side after it was scraped off the bread, but still was affecting the taste. The brisket was one of the most disappointing sandwiches I ever had, I actually think it was wrong but I was too hungry to ask. They tried to make it right by giving us deserts on the house, but the dinner was very unsatisfactory. Won't go back. I am sure the service can be better, too bad.

Fantastic food! Really. Very friendly staff. Decor a taxidermist's dream. Not sure how I felt about dining with stuffed critters but quickly forgot about it once the meal arrived.

Waiters are a bit tired and not so cheerful. Food is good. I like their cesar salad a lot.

Last 2 times not really a good experience. I ordered a burger and fries, the fries were cold and the waitress never showed up again on the other side of the restaurant to tell her. 2 days ago I was in, ordered just a burger, no sides cause I wasnt hungry and they still charged 16+ tax. I thought that was kinda a rip off. Cause other restaurants charge almost half the price if you dont get everything in your plate. And I think almost 20 bucks for a plain Jane burger is too much. Wont be going there again probably.

This is a cozy, well-priced place to go with a group for a drink or dinner. My group of friends always has a nice time here.I may be biased because this place is in my neighborhood and very convenient!

Horrible food and service, None of the pictures matched what actually came out of the kitchen. Way over priced, our vegetables came from a can!

I’m currently staying at the Best Western attached to this pub. The reviews were good, atmosphere nice and location convenient. Being alone and from out of town I sat at the bar in hopes of being entertained by the bartender... nope didn’t happen. Over a couple of hours a couple more solo people sat at the bar and same thing, no conversation from the bartender. The only conversation taking place is between the three staff on duty at the other end of the bar... the whole purpose of a bar is for solo people to sit there and engage with the bartender, not at this bar, it’s disappointing. Three stars, the food was great and the beer was cold!

Love this spot, my husband and I go here often...so cozy!!The menu is great, drinks delicious and the service is fantastic. The only CON about Tom's place is that the restrooms for the ladies(not sure about the gents) is in behind the bar..not the most convenient, especially when you have a stroller..and there is no baby change pad in the ladies room either.Overall- we give this restaurant a 4star.

Food was okay. Servers were not dressed well. We have always enjoyed the best westerns but tonight we were underwhelmed. Servers ate at the bar the server manager continued to talk to the servers which took them away from their customers. Overall disappointing!

I'm not one to post reviews but I honestly can't stop thinking about the amazing Bloody Ceasar I sipped on last night while relaxing by the fire. I highly recommend it mixed and served by Miss. Katie F. This young lady is clearly talented. I can't wait for the next time I'm craving a Ceasar and a comforting atmosphere. Other staff members, Victoria and Matt helped with the relaxing ambiance. Oh and did I mention it was a Virgin Ceasar?! And still the best I've ever had! Thanks guys :)

Fantastic food in a cozy atmosphere!The staff were attentive and friendly, always around to top off your drink or to check in but without being overbearing. The food itself was excellent, everything from the appetizer to the dessert were beyond expectation, especially considering the modest price point.This will become our staple restaurant before a night out at Absolute Comedy, and I would highly encourage others to make it theirs as well!
